Service Description

Our Direct Support service is led by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and provides one-on-one, in-the-moment support to help individuals build meaningful, functional skills in their everyday environments—at home, in the community, or wherever life happens. At LBS Connections, we use evidence-based principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in a way that is progressive, person-centered, and neurodiversity-affirming. We move beyond compliance-based models and instead focus on connection, autonomy, and understanding the “why” behind behavior. We specialize in supporting autistic individuals across the lifespan, with every session individualized to reflect each person’s strengths, needs, identity, and goals. Support may include: - Communication and self-advocacy - Emotional regulation and coping strategies - Daily living and independence skills - Social connection and relationship-building - Reducing distress by identifying and supporting underlying needs Our approach focuses on building skills in ways that feel natural, respectful, and relevant to real life—never forced. Service Area: We offer in-person sessions across Shelby, Miami, and Montgomery counties, along with surrounding areas in the greater Dayton community. Virtual sessions are available for families outside the area—or when that simply works best for you. Private Pay Only: LBS Connections operates as a private pay service and does not bill insurance, allowing for flexible, individualized support without diagnostic or authorization requirements.
